Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs are to supply goods for over $28.5 million to the Kyrgyz market

On the sidelines of the Turkmen-Kyrgyz economic forum in Ashgabat on Sunday, business meetings were held between members of the delegations of the two countries.

 

Bilateral documents were signed online between members of the Unions of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, including 13 export contracts for the supplies of plumbing and pipe products, tomatoes, confectionery, as well as memorandums of intention for the supplies of footwear and foodstuffs to the amount of more than 28 million 575 thousand US dollars.

 

The Turkmen-Kyrgyz economic forum was attended by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and members of the official delegation, including the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Economy and Finance, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Investment, Transport and Communications, Emergency Situations, Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy.

 

Prior to the forum, a high-ranking delegation of Kyrgyzstan visited the exhibition of export products of Turkmenistan, which showed the goods from public sector enterprises and UIET member companies.

 

The UIET presented a wide range of its capabilities in the agricultural sector, including the production of vegetables and fruits, the processing of crops and livestock products, development of the domestic food industry and the production of consumer goods, as well as household appliances and electronics.
