Representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan familiarized with Irish experience in agro-industrial complex.
The head of agriculture and agro-industrial complex department of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan Sh.Herremov, as well as, a member of the board of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the chairwoman of the National Barcode Organization of Turkmenistan A.Myalikgulyeva participated in introductory seminar of project EuropeAid «Promotion to the further sustainable growth of agriculture and village in Turkmenistan - III phase (SARD III)» as a part of delegation of our country.
This project is being implemented by the European Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Industry, as well as the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan since 2016 and aimed to achieve the missions of the national sector on sustainable agriculture, development and institutional support to the village and agricultural sector.
The seminar was held from 30 September to 7 October in the Republic of Ireland and was aimed to acquainting with the experience of this country as one of the most successful European exporters, supplying different countries with more than two thirds of the total volume of their national agrofood production.
In particular, the seminar participants were given the opportunity to familiarize with the Irish experience in supporting and encouraging small and medium enterprises – exporters of agrofood products, as well as to study the relevant requirements for quality standards and food safety in European countries and for requirements related to entering to the agro-food markets of the European Union.
During its stay in Dublin and other regions of the country, the Turkmen delegation, which also included specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture and water Industry of Turkmenistan, the Ministry Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Finance and Economics of Turkmenistan, has visited a number of public and private structures, organizations and companies specializing in food and agriculture sphere. They carry out the monitoring and controlling the compliance of produced products with the requirements and standards of food safety, as well as promoting of food products and Irish enterprises’ growth in world markets.
For the participants of seminar were organized trips to enterprises and agricultural enterprises, specializing in various areas of food production.
Organized meetings and presentations allowed to get vision on approach of the Irish government to the development and implementation of food safety control policy, and familiarize with the leading European programs in this area.
Participation in learning-introductory seminar of European Union is relevant in the light of large-scale work carried out by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan on the realization of export potential of Turkmen agricultural producers, learning of advanced world experience in agro industrial complex.
