TUIE representatives participate in the USAID Transport and Logistics Training.
From June 10 to 14, 2019, in Almaty (Kazakhstan), there is a training for trainers on training specialists of multimodal logistics centers, organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) together with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
The training participants included 25 trainers from five Central Asian countries, including members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan - representatives of the Turkmen Logistics Association, Open Joint-Stock Company “Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan”, as well as one of the private business enterprises.
The training week course focuses on sustainable cooperation with logistics centers, universities and educational institutions for further training of specialists and trainers in transport and logistics disciplines, as well as the exchange of experience and knowledge between specialists in Central Asia.
During the training, the participants will gain knowledge on key aspects of transport and logistics, which will give them the opportunity to put them into practice and, in general, to develop the logistics potential in the region.
The training course for trainers is conducted within the framework of a six-month project implemented by CILT at the initiative of the USAID project on competitiveness, trade and job creation in Central Asia, which in turn is five years old and aimed at supporting export growth and employment in the fruit and vegetable sector, developing tourism and expanding transport and logistics services in the countries of the region.
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) was founded in 1919 and is a global organization uniting professionals in the field of logistics and transport around the world. The institute has more than 35,000 members in 35 countries.
