The vectors of cooperation of TUIE with the Bulgarian business community are determined.
On August 11, the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Bulgarian Commission on Economic Cooperation was held as part of the activities of the First Caspian Economic Forum.
The meeting was attended by leaders, specialists, and experts from leading industries of the two countries, including the transport and energy sectors, information and communication technologies, pharmaceuticals and the medical industry, agriculture, investment and business.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects on energy infrastructure facilities, maritime transport, the introduction of advanced methods and technologies in the agricultural sector. The issues of expanding supplies to the foreign market of textile and carpet products of Turkmen manufacturers were also considered. Particular attention was paid to tourism cooperation.
As noted, trade and economic cooperation at the level of private enterprise open up great opportunities, the share of which in Turkmenistan’s GDP is constantly growing. An effective mechanism for the rapprochement of business structures should be regularly held international exhibitions, fairs, conferences, business forums.
On the same day, the Turkmen-Bulgarian business forum was held in the format of a “round table”, the main topic of which was the intensification of cooperation in the context of plans for the future.
The Bulgarian side expressed its readiness to develop partnerships in the trade, economic, energy and transport-communication spheres.
The vectors of interaction with members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were also identified during bilateral meetings.
